Ms. Manay, The New Ms. Davor ‘09

MATI- Miss Manay bagged this year’s Miss Davao Oriental crown including three minor awards – Best in Physique, Most Photogenic and Best in Talent.

Kristine Angiela Dayanghirang Bulan, a nursing graduate of Ateneo de Davao University, bested other 8 competing candidates, bringing glory to her municipality for being chosen as the fairiest lady during the search’s final night.

“At first I was very numb since I did not expect to win the crown. However, when everything started to sink in, i felt very happy and proud of myself…euphoria indeed!” Bulan said. “Truly an unexplainable feeling!” she added.

The pageant’s environmentalistic concept is in consonance with the 42nd Araw ng Davao Oriental theme: “Atong Kinaiyahan, Atong Panalipdan” wherein all the constestants donned festival and casual attire accentuated with indigenous materials.
